Google Pixel Buds Pro 2: Google’s AI-powered ANC earbuds with up to 8 hours of battery life, priced at RM1,099

Along with the new Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro smartphones, Google also announced the Pixel Buds Pro 2. These are Google’s latest wireless active noise-canceling (ANC) earbuds and are the first to feature Google Gemini. According to Google, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are designed to be the most comfortable and secure earbuds yet.

Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 is coming to Malaysia and its official price is 1,099 RMThe wireless headphones are available in 4 colors: Porcelain, Hazelnut, Wintergreen and Poeny.

Google Pixel Buds Pro 2: Specs and Features

Pixel Buds Pro 2 are powered by a Google Tensor A1 chip designed to deliver improved ANC performance and audio processing while ensuring optimal battery life. Compared to its predecessor, Pixel Buds Pro 2 boasts 2x noise reduction, as it can adapt to your environment up to 3 million times per second.

The wireless earbuds feature 11mm drivers that claim to deliver powerful bass and there is also a high-frequency chamber designed to deliver smooth highs. It also supports spatial audio with head tracking. Each earbud has three mics and supports tap and swipe gestures from its capacitive touch sensor.

On a single charge, Pixel Buds Pro 2 with ANC enabled deliver up to 8 hours of music playback or up to 30 hours total with the included charging case. Without ANC, they can last up to 12 hours of listening time or up to 48 hours total with the charging case.

The earbuds case supports USB-C charging as well as Qi wireless charging. According to Google, a 5-minute quick charge of the earbuds in the case can provide up to 1.5 hours of listening time with ANC off.

In terms of connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio and Super Wideband and can be paired with any Bluetooth 4.0+ device, including Android, iOS, tablets, and computers. The earbuds feature IP54 dust and water resistance, while the case is rated IPX4. The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 come with four pairs of ear tips in different sizes, with the medium size attached to the earbuds right out of the box.
