Euro 2025: BBC Sport and ITV agree deal to broadcast next year’s Women’s European Championship.

BBC Sport and ITV have agreed a deal to broadcast next year’s Women’s European Championship.

All matches of the tournament, which begins on July 2, will be broadcast in the UK on either the BBC or ITV, with the final on July 27 available on both channels.

In addition to live TV coverage and highlights on the BBC and iPlayer, radio commentary will also be available on BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra.

England travel to Switzerland as defending champions after securing their qualification for Euro 2025 with a 0-0 draw against Sweden in July.

The Lionesses’ victory over Germany in the Euro 2022 final was watched by more than 17 million viewers on BBC One.

Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales will be looking to qualify via the play-offs, which resume in October.

Alex Kay-Jelski, director of BBC Sport, said the BBC was “determined to bring the nation together for the biggest sporting moments”.

He added: “We are delighted to be able to bring another major tournament to audiences next summer on the BBC.”

Meanwhile, ITV’s director of sport Niall Sloane said the channel was keen to capitalise on the success of its Women’s World Cup coverage last year.
