Hundreds of protesters clash with New York police outside Harris campaign fundraiser, some facing criminal charges

About 300 pro-Palestinian protesters gathered in Harlem Wednesday night across from a fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign and took 14 of them into custody, police said Thursday.

Among this group, nine people were summoned to appear in criminal court and were released.

Three other people were issued “tickets” and two protesters, Aida Kapica and Keli Sutter, were criminally charged, according to a report.

The protesters held signs reading: “Kamala = genocide” and “Silence on genocide.”
