How long does it take to complete Silent Hill 2 remake?

Silent Hill 2 Remake is coming out this October, and many fans have been wondering about the length of the game and how long it will take them to finish it. Thanks to the game’s creative director, we now have an answer.

In response to questions on Twitter, creative director Mateusz Lenart said that the Silent Hill 2 remake should take between 16 and 18 hours to complete on the first playthrough. He then added that it could take even longer than that depending on how you play.

“If you like to spend your time searching for everything we put in the game and things we hid for you, it will definitely take you more than 20 (hours),” he said. “I’m not counting the new game plus and all the endings of course.

“I’m curious how quickly you’ll get them all.”

As for playtime, a 16-18 hour playthrough puts the remake ahead of the original Silent Hill 2’s completion time from 2001. And, for the most part, fans seem excited about the extended time to play the game.

“This is very pleasantly surprising news,” said one user.

Another said: “This is a lot longer than the original, I’m really excited about it.”

Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released on October 8 for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game will be exclusive to the PS5 console for at least a year, according to reports. After that, it may be available on Xbox Series X|S.
