KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12: The Deanery of Student Affairs at Kuwait University on Tuesday organized the first edition of the “Talents and Student Innovation Forum and Exhibition 2024”, under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al -Jalal, with the participation of 100 innovative student projects, in collaboration with various government and private entities.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Kuwait University Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Jasem Al-Hamdan, that the forum and exhibition highlight students’ creativity and talents in the field of sustainability and embody the university’s vision to provide an environment that promotes creativity and innovation, and equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge for sustainable success.

Al-Hamdan praised the student projects that participated in various scientific, artistic, literary and investment fields, emphasizing that these projects are proof of their excellence and distinction, and that they are capable of achieving further creativity. He added that investing in the youth is an investment in the future, and supporting talented and innovative individuals is a national duty. He expressed his pride in the students’ achievements, which confirm the quality of education at the university.

He also thanked the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for his sponsorship, as well as the supporting entities, the members of the organizing committee and the participating students. He affirmed that Kuwait University is committed to strengthening, developing and nurturing the talents of students and providing them with everything they need to realize their scientific and professional ambitions.

The two-day forum will include training workshops and lectures by leading entrepreneurs and experts in empowerment, sustainability and innovation, in addition to an exhibition showcasing promising Kuwaiti talents from Kuwaiti University students.

The forum is part of the University’s efforts to achieve the “New Kuwait 2035” vision and sustainable development, putting youth at the center of the development process, with the aim of building a generation of innovators and entrepreneurs capable of are to lead the development process in Kuwait.
