Authorities seek information after robbery caught on camera at Haletown Volunteer Fire Department

UPDATE:

The Haletown Volunteer Fire Department said a suspect was in custody Sunday afternoon.

EARLIER:

The Haletown Volunteer Fire Department (HVFD) says someone burglarized their fire station over the weekend.

They now need the community’s help to identify a suspect.

According to HVFD, a male suspect entered the department around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities say the suspect stole a light bar from their new brush truck “in full view of…security cameras.”

According to HVFD, the suspect is driving a 2006-2008 silver Honda Civic with a bungee cord holding the bumper down.

The car also features a donut tire on the front driver’s side.

HVFD says:

This individual placed his personal greed before the safety and well-being of all members of our community and neighboring communities.
