The Centralia City Council will consider workers’ compensation insurance options Tuesday evening. City Manager Kory Smith says a proposal from current provider Illinois Counties Risk-Management was the lowest bid.

The council will also approve two resolutions to provide property tax rebates through the Raccoon Lake Tax Increment Financing District to Meadow Woods Holdings and Villas at Centralia Heritage Woods. The payout to Meadow Woods is $273,204 and the payout to Villas is $15,637.

The City Council will also be asked to approve a resolution from the Downtown Christmas Stroll Committee for the use of city property for its annual event on Friday evening, December 6.

A closed session is scheduled after the suspension.
