Kansas Farm Bureau will hold its 106th annual meeting in Manhattan in early December.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) will celebrate its 106th annual meeting December 7-9 in Manhattan.

That of the organization annual meeting will kick off Saturday evening with KFB’s Foundations’ Fundraiser, A Night in Vegas, benefiting the End Hunger Program to address food insecurity in Kansas. Doors open to everyone at the Hilton Garden Inn at 5:45 p.m., with the event starting promptly at 6 p.m.

On Sundays, informational workshops, fair vendors and a silent auction are open to visitors. Workshop topics include technology in agriculture, biosecurity, succession planning, mental health and more.

Awards will be presented during the general session for Friends of Agriculture, Natural Resources, County Farm Bureaus, mental health advocacy and media.

Diane Sullivan, co-founder of Equitable Spaces, and Brian Klippenstein, senior advisor to U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, will host a panel discussion on how the freedom to operate on farms and ranches is vital not only for farmers, but also for people with low incomes. families.

Farm Families of the Year, Leadership KFB and Casten Fellows will be recognized at Sunday evening’s banquet, in addition to the recognition of Distinguished Service awards.

On Monday, voting delegates will debate and adopt 2025 policy statements in addition to electing the organization’s president and board members from even-numbered Farm Bureau districts.
