Amidst one of the most severe workforce shortages in health care history, nursing leaders are looking more than ever for ways to recruit new graduate nurses. Nursing schools must provide an appropriate curriculum for new graduate nurses so they can enter the clinical environment equipped with the skills needed for modern nursing.

According to Dr. Jason Dunne, chief academic officer of the Arizona College of Nursing (AZCN), nurses must develop a number of qualities to ensure career longevity.
