Princess Kate posts rare message about future work as she undergoes cancer treatment

As Princess Kate continues her cancer treatment, she is also considering future projects within her royal work.

In a new post on X (the social media platform formerly known as Twitter), Kate shared a note to British TV show host Dwayne Fields, who has been named the new UK Chief Scout of youth development organization Scouts. Kate became co-president of Scouts in 2020, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the non-profit’s history. She works alongside her co-president, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.

In response to a video message from Fields introducing himself and describing the work he plans to do in his new role, Kate congratulated the adventurer on his appointment.

“I am delighted to welcome @DwayneFields as the new Chief Scout of the UK,” the prince wrote on X. “The Scouts are an incredible organisation, teaching life skills and making a huge difference to young people across the country. I look forward to working with you!”

She signed the note with “C,” for Catherine.

Kate Middleton has largely stayed out of the spotlight since the start of the year. In March, she revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer and would be undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” to treat her illness.
