Jury convicts man in murder of 2022 Lansing shooting victim

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Johnny Estes, the man accused of killing Daniel Cannarile in 2022, has been found guilty of first-degree murder.

An Ingham County jury convicted Estes on Tuesday, Sept. 10. He was also found guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

He faces life in prison for his murder conviction.

Estes was convicted of murdering 39-year-old Daniel Cannarile in April 2022. Estes shot Cannarile on S Washington Ave in Lansing. Cannarile later died at the hospital.

It is unclear what the motivation behind the shooting was.
