Varun Dhawan slams paparazzi for insensitivity over Malaika Arora’s father’s death

Actor Varun Dhawan has condemned the paparazzi for their insensitive actions following the demise of Malaika Arora’s father Anil Arora. In an Instagram Stories post on Wednesday, Dhawan expressed his frustration, calling the behaviour of pointing cameras at mourners “the most insensitive thing”.

Dhawan urged photographers to be considerate of the mourners, saying, “Please think about what you are doing and the impact it has on the mourners. I understand that it is your job, but please remember that some people may not be comfortable with it.” He included the hashtag #humanity in his post. Earlier in the day, Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, visited Malaika Arora’s father’s home to offer their condolences.

Several other celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Chunky Panday and Ananya Panday also came to pay tribute to him. The Khan family including Sohail Khan, Salim Khan and Salma Khan were seen arriving amidst the crowd of photographers.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has announced that Malaika Arora’s father’s death appears to be a suicide. Mumbai Police Chief Raj Tilak Roshan informed the media that all leads are being pursued and the victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem. “We are investigating all angles in detail,” Roshan said. Malaika Arora was in Pune at the time of her father’s death and rushed to Mumbai after hearing the news.
