According to experts, this phenomenon is called a ‘Beaver Moon’. This is because it is the time of year when beavers take shelter for the long winter, after stocking up on enough food. Beavers were also hunted during this season for their thick fur during the fur trade in North America.

Farmer’s almanac notes in another report that the moon will be 224,853 miles (361,866 kilometers) from Earth this month. The celestial body was closest to the planet last month during the Full Hunter’s Moon (350,000 kilometers). November’s full Beaver Supermoon is therefore an event not to be missed. Additionally, three supermoons will appear in a row next year, starting in October.
