Electric pole caught fire in Steinbach – SteinbachOnline.com

There was some excitement on Friesen Avenue Friday night as Steinbach fire trucks arrived to deal with a power pole that caught fire.

Police and firefighters responded to the call and blocked Friesen Avenue from Brandt Street halfway to 1st Street.

Firefighters received the green light from Manitoba Hydro at 10:40 p.m. to extinguish the blaze.
