Taylor Swift’s Mom Gets Rid of Taylor Swift Tickets After Harris Support; Some Gen Z Fans Are Still Pro-Trump Too

The woman, perhaps now the “anti-heroine” in her daughter’s life, was not shy about expressing her political influence and citing Swift’s “non-Christian beliefs” in the clip released on X/Twitter earlier this week.

User @TheThe1776 further took her message to the social media platform on September 12 morning (IST), claiming that her daughter was a “lifelong Taylor Swift fan”.

Young Swiftie’s mother quickly jumped on the megastar’s three-day-old Instagram post in which she publicly expressed her support for the Democratic presidential candidate and identified herself as a “childless cat lady.”

“It’s really interesting how you already printed this long letter to all your fans two seconds after the Kamala vs. Donald Trump debate, which only tells me that you had already written this before the debate,” the woman remarked.

“…it also tells me that you didn’t have an open mind. Kamala lied to everyone on stage and those of us who know it know it.”

Continuing her rant directed at Swift, the former supporter of her daughter’s love for the artist then targeted her status as a “billionaire,” drawing a stark contrast “with the rest of us” who are “struggling.”

“People can’t afford to buy homes, some of us are losing our businesses and if Harris gets in office our economy is going to be ruined, but I know that doesn’t concern you because you have all this money, private planes. You just don’t live in that kind of world,” she said in her passive-aggressive tone, echoing criticism from Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance that Taylor is “out of touch with the interests and issues of most Americans.”

Lashing out at Swift after she declared on Instagram that she would vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the November election, the Ohio senator told Fox News’ “The Story” that most Americans won’t be swayed by a “billionaire celebrity.”

Turning to Re’s post, the “worried mother” hailed Donald Trump as “the right man for the job.”

“If the United States economy suffers, the whole world suffers, Taylor, and if the whole world suffers, your job, your career, goes away, because no one will be able to afford to go to your concert,” she said in the video.

Swiftie’s longtime mom concluded her post by announcing that she no longer wanted to spend another dollar to support Swift, her “private plane and…her non-Christian beliefs,” reiterating the message that she could not support someone who was willing to “kill babies.”

Before drastically “undoing” her support for Taylor Swift, the mother argued that abortion access and LGBTQ rights would remain unchanged under a potential Trump administration, but she continued to reinforce the idea that a “believer” would never be pro-abortion.

As CNN previously reported, Swift’s Instagram post for Harris generated massive traffic to Vote.Gov on Wednesday.

The “Blank Space” artist addressed new voters directly in her post, saying, “Remember, to vote you must be registered! I also find it much easier to vote early. I will link to where to register and find early voting dates and information in my story.”

While there is ample evidence that her call to action drove a sizable army of voters to the voter registration website, not all Gen Z Swifties were moved by her support for Harris.

According to a small poll conducted by TMZ, two in 10 Swifties said they were waiting to see who their favorite singer would endorse in the 2024 presidential race. Of those two, one admitted that Taylor’s message had changed his preference for Trump, despite his initial decision being fueled by a family of Trump supporters at home. The other, already leaning toward Kamala, said he would vote for Trump if Taylor endorsed him.

Of the remaining fans, four clearly identified themselves as “Swifties for Trump,” while another said he would give up his TS merchandise. Another fan planned to burn his TS vinyl records and other items.

This steamy image fits in with many other social media posts. A recent TikTok video showed a Swiftie who doesn’t want to be a “childless cat lady like Taylor Swift” burning her TS products and replacing them with MAGA paraphernalia.
