Weather Alert: Summer Is Not Ready to Leave Us Yet

Weather Alert: Summer Is Not Ready to Leave Us Yet

A large area of high pressure is bringing us a persistent pattern of unseasonable warmth heading into the weekend. No rain chances are in the forecast for the next few days due to the blocking pattern. This is good news for those heading to the lake. No beach or lake hazards are in the forecast for Saturday as winds remain light, keeping the waters relatively calm. Temperatures will climb into the 80s for Saturday. Saturday night will see clear skies and overnight lows will remain in the 60s with very minimal cloud cover. Sunday is also shaping up to be nothing but beautiful with clear skies and highs in the low to mid 80s.

This summer feeling brings some humidity with it. However, dew points are not expected to reach high levels throughout the week, with most days remaining around 60 degrees. We are seeing signs of this massive area of high pressure slowly dissipating by the middle of next week. This could allow moisture from the Southeast coast to finally make its way up to us by Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
