AT&T Announces Two Tentative Agreements to End ‘Work Stoppage’

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – AT&T announced in a statement Sunday that it has reached two tentative agreements in the Southeast and West.

AT&T said the Southeast contract with the Communications Workers of America (CWA) covers 15,000 employees who work primarily in technician, call center, machine operator and other customer service positions.

AT&T said West’s contract covers 8,400 employees who work primarily in those same roles in California and Nevada.

“Our goal has been to reach fair agreements that recognize the hard work our employees put into serving our customers with market-competitive compensation,” AT&T said in the statement. “This has been a difficult time for everyone involved.”

AT&T said it would provide more details on those tentative agreements once the CWA shares them with its members.

“We are pleased to have collectively found a common path forward,” AT&T said.
