Images of Titan submarine’s tail cone revealed at seabed

Footage released by the US Coast Guard shows the tail cone of the Titan submersible, which imploded killing all five people inside, on the seabed.

The ocean-going vessel had been descending toward the wreck of the Titanic for less than two hours when it imploded in June 2023.

Earlier this week, a hearing revealed that one of the last messages sent by the five-person crew before they permanently lost contact with the Titan’s mothership was “everything is fine here.”
