Mama Donna Kelce won't be in a single Hallmark movie this year. As a Christmas movie fan, I'm thrilled

It was around this time that Fall TV Schedule to be hit with an avalanche of upcoming Christmas movies and specials, and viewers will no doubt be able to see all of our anticipated favorites like Lacey Chabert and Bethany Joy Lenz. In particular, Hallmark Upcoming Movie Schedule will be as stuffed as a Christmas turkey with snowy presents. And rising pop culture queen Donna Kelce will appear not only in a TV movie, but two of them (so far).

With his two NFL superstar sons pursuing lucrative careers outside of professional football, Travis Kelce is poised to host Are you smarter than a celebrity? And co-star in Ryan Murphy horror seriesfor example — Mama Kelce is definitely not resting on her laurels. Here’s the latest on her two upcoming Hallmark projects.

Movie #1: Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story

First announced in June 2024, about four months after Travis Kelce helped his Kansas City Chiefs win their second straight Super Bowl, Holiday Touchdown: A Love Story for the Chiefs will obviously center on a football-related love story set in Kansas City. That said, it won’t be a direct dramatization of Kelce’s High-Profile Relationship With Taylor Swiftand will instead follow a completely fictional couple.

The film stars Hunter King as Alana, a die-hard Chiefs fan in a family of many, who is trying to win the title of “Fan of the Year,” a project overseen by Derrick (Tyler Hines). Things go awry when Alana’s grandfather loses his lucky hat, and she’s about to lose her Christmas spirit.

Instead of playing herself, Donna Kelce will be taking on the role of a barbecue restaurant manager who probably has an opinion or two about the home team. There’s no word yet on her character’s name, but we’re hoping it’s a clever nod.

The film will also feature appearances from Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid and several NFL players, including Mecole Hardman, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Trey Smith and George Karlaftis. As well as Jenna Bush Hager, Diedrich Bader, Catrick Mahomes and many more.

Movie #2: Christmas at the Door

While the aforementioned Hallmark project was revealed earlier this summer, it wasn’t until more recently that we learned of Mama Kelce’s upcoming foray into Hallmark holiday cinema. Given that the first film is centered in Kansas City, it makes sense that her next cameo would be in a feature-length film set in Philadelphia.

Title Christmas on callThis particular film will feature Will TrentSer’Darius Blain plays a paramedic and avid Philadelphia Eagles fan who takes in new ER doctor Hannah (Sara Canning) and helps her adjust to life in the city. Similar to his food-related role in Holiday TouchdownKelce’s cameo will take place at a cheesesteak restaurant where his jersey-wearing character will make sure to tell Hannah to eat it “whiz wit.”

Not only Christmas on call The project will pay tribute to the hard-working first responders in Philadelphia, but it will also feature another guest appearance from Kelce. The project will feature the song “Santa Drives an Astrovan,” performed by The Philly Specials — a group formed by Eagles players Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson, as well as the now-retired Jason Kelce — and Mt. Joy. The song is part of a charity effort for the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which will receive proceeds from the upcoming album release. It’s unclear whether Mama Kelce will bring her own vocal style to the album, or if she’ll stick to Hallmark movies for now.
