Former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun was arrested today in another murder case lodged with the city’s Uttara East police station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Arifur Rahman passed the order in the presence of the accused this morning as the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Sajal Chandra Paul, filed a petition seeking to show that he had been arrested in connection with the murder of RMG worker Md Abdul Aziz.

Earlier, Mamun had been brought before the court from prison.

According to the statement, garment worker Md Abdul Aziz was shot dead by police near Uttara House Building Finance Corporation area of ​​the capital around 7 am on August 5.
