Arrest in attempted murder case in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – Authorities have arrested Travis Maynor, 44, for his involvement in an Aug. 20 shooting in the Northwest District.

The incident took place in the 4100 block of Patterson Avenue, where Maynor allegedly shot a 28-year-old male victim multiple times. Detectives identified Maynor as the shooter during their investigation and obtained a warrant for his arrest on Sept. 4.

Maynor was located and arrested on September 17 at a residence in the 300 block of Gwynn Avenue without incident. Following his arrest, he was taken to the Records Reception Center, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The shooting was initially reported to Northwest District officers around 10:06 p.m. on August 20. Responding officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was later transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Northwest District investigators assigned to the shooting have taken control of the investigation. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to contact Northwest District investigators at 410-396-2466.   • Two students arrested after assault at Sussex Technical College

    Georgetown, DE – A 16-year-old Georgetown student and a 16-year-old Seaford student have been arrested following an assault at Sussex Technical High School. The incident occurred last Tuesday around 2 p.m.

    The Delaware State Police school resource officer at the school, located at 17099 County Seat Highway in Georgetown, was notified by school staff of the reported assault.

    The investigation revealed that during an argument in a vocational training class, a student threw a sharp metal file at another student. In retaliation, the second student threw a sharp metal file, hitting the first student in the face and causing an injury.

    A suspect surrendered to Troop 4 on Wednesday. He was charged with second-degree assault (felony), arraigned in Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance to a parent.

    The other suspect also surrendered to Troop 4 on Wednesday. He was charged with aggravated threats (felony), arraigned before Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance to a relative.

  • 12-year-old boy arrested for burglary at St. John’s University

    NEW YORK — The NYPD has arrested three individuals in connection with a burglary at St. John’s University in Queens, following an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred on Aug. 20, 2024, authorities said.

    On September 18, 2024, a 12-year-old boy was arrested and charged with burglary, third-degree burglary, and criminal possession of stolen property. Earlier, on September 3, a 17-year-old boy was also arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, and third-degree criminal trespass.

    Additionally, on August 23, Emanuel Yakubov, a 25-year-old man from Queens, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, third-degree criminal trespassing, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

    The arrests follow a burglary that occurred on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., when two unidentified male individuals unlawfully entered 168-10 Goethals Avenue at St. John’s University.

    The suspects took various items and fled the scene on a moped, traveling westbound on Union Turnpike. No injuries were reported.

    Police are still looking for additional suspects in connection with the burglary and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individuals depicted in the attached images. The investigation is ongoing.
