Erling Haaland sends ‘humble’ message to Mikel Arteta, calls fellow Arsenal star a ‘clown’

Erling Haaland has urged Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to “stay humble” after Manchester City played out a 2-2 draw against the Gunners on Sunday.

A fiery Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium saw Arsenal reduced to ten men before half-time but clinging to a 2-1 lead until added time.

Manchester City defender John Stones eventually made the difference for the hosts as the game ended 2-2 between two teams expected to challenge for the Premier League title.

Angry words were exchanged at the end of normal time and Haaland was seen telling Arteta to “stay humble, stay humble” before being confronted by Gabriel Jesus.

Haaland then called Jesus a “clown” and Jack Grealish stepped in between the two.

The lack of love lost between the two teams promises to set up the return fixture between the two clubs this season when Manchester City visit the Emirates Stadium.

This should happen in early February.
