“Grumpy” Grant embroiled in nasty feud with Foreman Dan on The Block

While The Block has had its share of cheating scandals, the latest being one of the most explosive yet!

Last week, House 2’s Grant, who has been dubbed “grumpy” by the cast and crew, got into an argument with Foreman Dan over gyprock.

In week six, Grant and his wife Courtney were accused of ordering too many building materials used to create the walls and ceilings, giving themselves an unfair advantage over the competition.

“He (Foreman Dan) thinks we’re putting ourselves at an unfair advantage because we accidentally ordered too much drywall this week,” a visibly frustrated Grant told cameras at the time, denying the cheating allegations.

According to Dan, the team had ordered over 40 sheets of Gyprock for four walls, far more than could be attributed to a simple error.

“If you do four walls, you don’t need forty sheets,” Dan explained to Grant before revealing that there would be “consequences” for breaking a cardinal rule. The Block“You will not order materials in excess of the current week’s needs.”

But they weren’t the only team to over-order, with extra Gyprock arriving on site for Maddie and Charlotte and Kristian and Mimi.

While the Sydney-based sisters were able to avoid the wrath of Foreman Dan due to the gyprock ordered by Jesse and Paige, the Yellow Team and Purple Team were not so lucky – with Grant throwing his friends under the bus.

Fast forward to Monday of week seven and Dan made sure to let everyone know before the start that Grant was the one who requested an audit of each team and their “accidental” order of building materials.

He also revealed that it was Grant who told him that Ricky and Haydn had missed the mandatory pre-start on Saturday.

As punishment, houses 2, 3 and 5 are closed for an hour, much to the frustration of Kristian, Mimi and the boys.

Grant is particularly upset at being labeled a whistleblower, and goes so far as to call Dan a “pure liar” (even though he was caught on camera criticizing his fellow competitors).

“I know everyone has been piling plaster on the job site for the last four weeks and they haven’t been punished for it,” Grant told Dan days earlier, claiming he and his wife Courtney had been unfairly targeted.

But Dan wasn’t convinced, especially after having previous conversations with Grant about pre-ordering furniture:

“You’re kidding me, so I’m going to shut you up. I told you the other day not to pre-order. You look at authority like it’s nothing,” Dan said, adding that the red team had “disrespected” him.

“We don’t have enough space on the site for you to order too many things. Furniture was one thing, now you’ve made it out of plaster.”

We can’t wait to see how this plays out!
