Laura Loomer’s 5 Most Embarrassing Outfits: From ‘Star Trek’-Inspired Looks to Trump Merchandise

Laura Loomer’s 5 Most Embarrassing Outfits: From ‘Star Trek’-Inspired Looks to Trump Merchandise

Far-right activist and conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer is no stranger to the media. The 31-year-old has made a name for herself with her outspoken support for former President Donald Trump and her controversial views. That said, she’s also caught the attention of the fashion police for her unflattering fashion choices. Here are five examples of where her outfits completely missed the mark.

1. Laura Loomer’s red look for Policon 2018

Laura Loomer’s outfit of choice for Politicon 2018 was a red mini dress that she paired with translucent beige mules. While the dress was cute, the event didn’t quite fit the look, as it gave off a date-night vibe. Additionally, to match her idol Donald Trump’s classic red and blue combo, Loomer painted her nails an electric blue to show her solidarity. Her accessory choice, a black embroidered clutch, didn’t do much to enhance the overall look.

2. Laura Loomer’s look for the Student Action Summit in 2019

At this point, it’s safe to say that Loomer is trying her best to nail her outfit, but more often than not, she falls slightly short. While attending the Student Action Summit in 2019, Loomer opted for the classic black and gray combo, but fell short due to poor tailoring. Her outfit also seemed haphazardly put together, as she paired a pair of leggings with a fitted blazer that reached her hips. Additionally, she wore a pair of uninspiring black mules with charcoal gray socks that clashed with her black leggings and shoes. Loomer could have easily made a fashion statement if she had swapped out her fitted blazer for a more casual, oversized coat and opted for longer-shafted boots. These slight changes would have given her outfit much-needed sophistication and style.

3. Colorblocking Gone Wrong at a Jexit Event in 2020

Loomer’s gray tweed jacket made a comeback the following year, when she wore an outfit that was too mismatched in color. For a “Jexit” event, Loomer opted for a black and red boat neck top paired with dark blue skinny jeans. Over the red and black top inspired by Captain Jean-Luc Picard, she wore her gray blazer. It’s only fitting that Loomer—who made a name for herself as a vocal Trump supporter—would favor “Star Trek,” since Mark Hamill—an actor on the fantasy series “Star Wars”—has been a vocal Trump critic. Loomer opted for a pair of white loafers that ultimately made her outfit feel off-kilter.

4. Laura Loomer’s ‘Star Trek’ Inspired Outfit for a Photoshoot

Loomer wore another Star Trek-inspired costume, channeling her inner Dr. Beverly Crusher for a photoshoot with her idol Donald Trump. For the futuristic spacesuit-inspired look, the far-right activist wore black jeans with fur-lined boots and a blue and black color-blocked sweater. She also wore a blue beanie emblazoned with Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again.”

5. Laura Loomer’s obsession with Trump shirts

Loomer once said, “I love being a human billboard and I LOVE President Trump!” according to Nicki Swift. Since then, the internet personality has gone to great lengths to prove her point. During a photoshoot with Trump, Loomer opted for a black shirt that boldly read, “Donald Trump has done nothing wrong.” She paired it with blue shorts and accessorized with a Gucci belt. While she could have drawn the line here, Loomer overdid her desire to be a “human billboard” by wearing a white cap emblazoned with the number “47.” The number signifies her support for Trump, whom she wants to see become the 47th president of the United States.
