8 Surprising, Delicious, and A Little Weird Style Collaborations

Lifestyle brand collaborations can help keep creativity alive and connect products to audiences that wouldn’t normally cross paths.

Sometimes it makes sense, like when Target collaborates with a clothing designer or Nike recruits an NBA star.

Others might prompt a double take. Like, how did these two decide to get together and make that? While they may be weird, the partnerships listed below are also the ones you didn’t know you needed. Press-on nails inspired by Arizona iced tea? A nail color inspired by a romance novel? A bathrobe inspired by an album cover? Yes, please to all of these and more.

This cherry blossom design on aquamarine was meant for more than just a can. And now, you can wear it on your nails thanks to this collaboration between imPRESS nails and Arizona iced tea. The collection includes several other fun Arizona-adjacent designs, and each set costs $10. This collaboration launched over the summer, but is still fully stocked and available for purchase.

Nail polish brand Olive & June is known for its manicure system, which promises to give you perfectly healthy nails and cuticles. Romance author Colleen Hoover teamed up with the brand to create her own kit, along with individual shades and stickers inspired by characters from her books. This is another collection that launched earlier this year, but is still available for purchase. Prices range from $135 for a kit to $9 for the polish.

This summer, English DJ, musician and music producer Jamie XX is releasing a new album and a collection of beach towels and bathrobes with innovative Danish fabric brand Tekla. The product designs reflect the album title:In waves—in a graphic black and white, slightly psychedelic pattern. Towels are $165 and bathrobes are $285.

Julie Mollo, creator of super fun, sparkly, and customizable pouches and bags, has teamed up with Magic Wand to bring you the perfect way to carry your massager. The collection includes a crossbody bag ($80), a pouch ($44), and a tote bag ($104), all adorned with Magic Wand images and designs. Don’t hide your vibrator away—carry it proudly in a sparkly bag.

Welcome Skateboards has teamed up with the creators of Beetlejuice for a collection of skateboards, sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts and hats. The products feature all your favorite scenes from the original film, including a sweater with Winona Ryder’s face (sold out on the Welcome website but still available at Zumiez), the “It’s showtime!” scene on a hoodie, and a scary sandworm on t-shirts and more. The products are available online at Zumiez and on the Welcome website, and range in price from $35 for a t-shirt to $120 for the sweater.

In anticipation of the November 22 release of the film version of WickedFeaturing Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, cozy clothing brand Aerie has teamed up with the filmmakers for a capsule collection of sweatshirts, socks, sleepwear, and more. Pink and green graphics are all the rage, and you’ll also find black sweatshirts, socks, and sweatpants. Prices range from $15 for a seersucker sleep mask to $55 for a sweatshirt.

Graffiti artist turned muralist, tattoo artist, milliner? Not exactly. Mr. Kaves tapped Bailey 1922’s hat expertise for this collaboration, which includes two styles, each in two colors. The Brooklino, a 100% wool hat with a raised teardrop crown, comes in whiskey and steel ($250). The second style, the Verrazano, is a 100% wool velvet, available in a classic Cattleman crown, also available in whiskey and steel ($285). Both hats feature Mr. Kaves’ artwork on the inside, as well as his signature. They will be available for purchase on Bailey 1922’s website on September 28.

The brand known for selling all things black—clothing, accessories, and even furniture—has teamed up with Uno (yes, the card game) for a specially designed game ($25). This clever take on everyone’s favorite family card game is mostly black, but don’t worry, the color rules remain the same and you can still have your dad draw four. They’re taking preorders now and will ship on October 15.
