Coronation Street’s Emrhys Cooper has shared an exciting clip from his next project – a horror film.

The star arrived on the ITV soap as Rowan Cunliffe earlier this year. At first, Rowan was introduced as the leader of a self-help group called The Institute. Once he charmed Leanne (Jane Danson) and brought her into the organization, his corrupt ways were slowly revealed.

For months, Leanne didn’t believe Rowan was leading a cult. As a result of the manipulation and brainwashing, Leanne turned her back on her sister Toyah (Georgia Taylor) and her partner Nick (Ben Price), leading them to begin an affair.

However, earlier this month Leanne finally had her eyes peeled when she came to accept that Rowan was a blackmailing criminal.

Nick then went to DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) with a notebook full of evidence revealing the truth about the Institute. Rowan was arrested and charged with blackmail and fraud.

After saying goodbye to the world of Weatherfield, star Emrhys Cooper has been keeping himself very busy. On his Instagram last week, he confirmed that his next role would be in a remake of the 1922 silent film, Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror.

Sharing a trailer of what to expect, Emrhys wrote alongside: “I’m excited to FINALLY share our film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, a remake of the 1922 silent film, is released October 18th 🧛🏻 ‍♂️.

“It’s been an incredible journey bringing this iconic tale back to life, and I couldn’t be more honored to star alongside the legendary @actordougjones in this dark and haunting reimagining.” I’m excited to share the official trailer.

Days after Rowan’s arrest, Emrhys surprisingly made a return to the ITV soap.

Sharing a selfie of himself in a dressing room, the actor wrote on his Instagram Stories: “This is not personal, this is strictly professional.”

The Coronation Street location tag was also seen in the bottom right corner.

Given how Leanne’s involvement with The Institute ended and the police got involved, it certainly has us intrigued as to how Rowan will return.

Not to mention the impact this will once again have on Leanne and her family.
