2 people in custody following shooting in Eau Claire County

FAIRCHILD, Wis. (WEAU) – Two people are in custody after a shooting in Fairchild.

According to a news release from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office, officers were called to the 100 block of Park Street around 7:30 p.m. Sunday after several callers reported an armed suspect outside a house threatened to kill someone inside.

At the scene, officers found several people involved in the incident and two firearms, one of which was fired, but no one was injured.

Two suspects were arrested and taken to the Eau Claire County Jail and are expected to face several charges, including Endangering Safety – Reckless Use of a Weapon, Endangering Safety – Armed While drunkenness, possession of a firearm by a felon, kidnapping, intimidation of a witness and Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
