AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty in the murders of his wife and stepson, according to court records.

David Ontiveros was convicted of capital murder of multiple persons. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In April 2022, court documents said Ontiveros shot and killed his wife, 39-year-old Christina Limon, and stepson, 14-year-old Rudy Limon-Lira, at an east Austin home. Limon-Lira was a student at Travis Early College High School.
