The Ghost Asket CF Carbon gravel bike is ready for adventure with flexible mountain bike-inspired racks

The latest Asket CF from German bike maker Ghost rebuilds its popular and affordable gravel bike in lighter, more forgiving carbon, retaining its signature flex stays. But this carbon gravel bike doesn’t skimp on the bikepacking and adventure features, including every mounting point you could want and even gravel suspension forks on the top two models.

Ghost Asket CF 2024 Carbon Versatile Gravel Bike

While most carbon bikes today seem to aspire to be racing bikes, this one is designed for touring, trails and adventure. Not too far from its Asket Gravel alloy siblings. Ghost describes its new Asket CF carbon gravel bike as “developed for all-terrain use.” This is therefore no surprise since the Asket is clearly inspired by its Lector XC hardtail. Its bent carbon seatstay design allows the rear end to flex for increased rider comfort and improved grip, while maintaining torsional rigidity and predictable handling.

This is a carbon gravel bike with “progressive gravel geometry” that will happily ride on gravel roads or singletrack, whether you want to go fast or take a more leisurely bikepacking trip with friends. But it’s still a fast ride with a ~69.5° size-specific head tube, ~435mm chainstays, and longer frame Reach numbers.

Ghost claims that tailoring the Asket CF in the same premium lightweight carbon as its XC racing mountain bikes provides “a high degree of stiffness with low weight and great comfort.” Additionally, the short rear keeps the new gravel bike maneuverable.

For starters, the simplest Ghost Asket CF Pro is both the most affordable at €3,000 and probably the lightest with its stiff carbon fork paired with a wide Shimano 1x 12 speed groupset, alloy rims and cockpit in conventional alloy.

Then upgrade to the Asket CF Full Party for €3,500 and Ghost upgrades you to a Fox 32 TC Performance Elite suspension fork with 40mm of gravel-eating travel.
