FBI Agents Visit Dauphin County Commissioner After Explosive Meeting, Allegations

The FBI visited Dauphin County Commissioner Justin Douglas on Thursday, a day after an explosive public meeting that included allegations of an unfair bidding process for the county’s massive health care contract and an unsuccessful attempt to remove former Commissioner Jeff Haste, who has been the subject of several recent controversies, from his continued leadership roles.

A PennLive reporter saw two FBI agents arrive at the county administration building on Second Street in Harrisburg at 10 a.m. Thursday and ask to speak with Douglas. The visit was not scheduled in advance, the agents told the reception secretary. The agents still hadn’t left Douglas’ office more than two hours later when the PennLive reporter left.
