Kesha‘s latest red carpet look is trashy in the best possible way.

The “TiK ToK” singer, 37, rocked a revised version of one of her early career looks — her 2010 MTV VMAs trash bag dress — at GLAMOURGermany‘s Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday, November 12, and stopped in the middle of the carpet for a pointed shoe change.

Kesha walked the red carpet at the Fotografiska Berlin event – where she was named the music icon of 2024 – in a black two-piece set that appeared to be made from rubbish bags, echoing her iconic awards show look from over a decade ago made me think.

Instead of a trash bag-inspired minidress, Kesha’s updated look included a strapless backless top with a scalloped hem, plus a matching maxi skirt with ultra-high slits and a long train.

She initially paired the eye-catching set with pointy black heels – one of which featured a phone mounted on a miniature tripod mount – and later swapped them for a slightly edgier pair.

The “Die Young” singer stopped posing halfway down the carpet to change, with the help of two people, into a pair of strappy sandals, also black, with large pointed details.

In contrast to her 2010 trash-inspired look — which featured her hair in a very high and long hybrid ponytail-braid style — she wore a simple hairstyle, with her shoulder-length, blonde locks falling into a sleek center part.

Talk about the unconventional and circular ‘fit at the’ GLAMOURGermany event – where she was celebrated along with other 2024 honorees Ashley Park, Valentina Sampaio and journalist Düzen Tekkal — Kesha said this was the result of researching her career to determine how she “became so iconic” over the years.

“I’m iconic. This is iconic. And I watched how I became so iconic, making art out of trash,” she said, according to the magazine. “So I am the iconic trash.”

Last month, the singer joined Charli xcx on stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles for the live debut of the duo’s remix of ‘Spring Breakers’, days after the release of the ‘Apple’ singer’s remix album, Brat and it’s completely different but still brat.

The October 15 concert’s cameo also included a performance of Kesha’s 2009 hit “Tik Tok,” featuring Charli’s Sweat Tour co-headliner Troye Sivan.

That same day, Kesha released a cover of Lindsey Buckingham’s “Holiday Road” for the Spotify Singles Holiday Collection 2024. The singer’s version of the 1983 holiday hit features a vocoder effect and electro-rock production by Zhone, who also worked on her song “Joyride.”
