Person injured by Metro Transit bus Wednesday evening

One person was injured Wednesday after a Metro Transit bus struck them.

A Metro Transit spokesperson said a pedestrian was crossing Rice Street near Little Canada Road when the bus, which was turning south on Rice Street, struck them.

The person was taken to Regional Hospital in stable condition. Their identities are unknown at this time.

Metro Transit is investigating the accident.
