2-year-old dies after multi-vehicle crash on Forest Hills Road

WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – A toddler is dead and another child is in the hospital after a three-vehicle crash in Winnebago County.

On November 13 at 5:30 p.m., officers from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office and the Loves Park Police Department responded to a crash in the 5500 block of Forest Hills Road.

Three adult passengers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, one child was taken to the hospital in critical condition and a 2-year-old boy was taken to the hospital and later died, first responders said.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says the Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
