Eric Edholm writes: “Midway through the second quarter, with the Cardinals leading 14-6, the Jets’ Quincy Williams absolutely sacked Kyler Murray. Murray’s helmet landed about 30 feet away from his body and he had to be helped back What happened next convinced me that we significantly underestimated Murray’s toughness drive and deliver a dagger to the Jets. He may lack the gaudy passing numbers of the Joe Burrows and Lamar Jacksons of the world, but I think we should include Murray in the MVP discussion a little more He finished the beatdown on Sunday with 266 yards and a touchdown on 22 of 22. His candidacy will obviously get a boost if the Cardinals make the playoffs for the second time in nine seasons, but I think he deserves to be in the middle now to be in the mix.”
