Driver killed in fatal traffic accident along Keroka-Sotik road

A truck driver was killed in a tragic road accident along the Keroka-Sotik road.

According to police, the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle while navigating the road.

As a result, the truck veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a car driven by a 34-year-old man identified as Brian Onuko.

According to police, the car struck the right side of the driver’s rear door, causing serious damage to the car.

After the impact, the truck ended up in a ditch and overturned.

The driver of the truck was seriously injured in the collision.

He was pronounced (on arrival) at Keroka Level Four Hospital, police said.

The body was later taken to St. Joseph Nyansiongo Hospital Mortuary for safekeeping pending autopsy.

Other passengers on board the truck suffered general body pain as a result of the accident.

They were rushed to Keroka Level Four Hospital for treatment.

The two vehicles involved in the accident were severely damaged and are currently being held at the police station pending further inspection.

A bodaboda rider and his pillion were lynched in a suspected robbery on Thursday.

According to police, the two suspects targeted a customer who had just made a purchase at Naivas Supermarket on Thika Road.

The pillion allegedly took the mobile phone from the unsuspecting customer and left for Kasarani.

However, they were cornered by members of the public who chased after them.

The two were subjected to mafia law, which caused them serious injuries.

The two escaped death by a whisker after police on patrol heard of the commotion and came to their aid.

However, the stolen mobile phone was recovered and attempts to locate the robbery victim were unsuccessful
