Colorado’s Deion Sanders says he will privately intervene in the NFL draft

Colorado Quarterback Shedeur Sanders is expected being a top draft pick in the 2025 NFL draft; anywayuhThe question remains where he will end up in April.

Sanders’ high level of play has drawn attention this season significantly strengthened its design stock and dduring a performance on Fox Sports 1 Speak, Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s father and Colorado head coach, revealed he would Certainly intervene if the ‘wrong team’ plans to draft him.

“JYes, but I’m not going to do it publicly. I do it privately,” Sanders said. “I’ll be a dad until the cows come home, and with Travis too.”

Deion emphasized how important it is that his son ends up in the right situation.

“Ssomeone who can handle the quarterback that he is and someone who can handle that, who understands what he is capable of doing so,” said Deion Sanders.Someone who has had success dealing with quarterbacks in the past or someone and an organization that understands what they are doing. Don’t just throw it to the wolves when you do that not have the support and infrastructure of teaM.”

He added, “Forget the (offensive) line. He’s played with lines that weren’t great, but… he is was able to do his thing. But just de-infrastructure of the team and the direction we are going.”

There has been a lot of speculation about Shedeur Sanders’ future, especially regarding the NFL. Many experts have him pegged alongside Travis Hunter as the top draft pick if both plan to enter the draft.

Sanders is coached by his father all the way through his football career, dating from youth leagues and high school and then Jackson State and Colorado.

“Shedeur has started every high school game, every college game but one, and that’s the way he is, man. He has a real gift. It comes from God and he loves football,” he said. “This boy loves this game and he has an insatiable hunger to win. And I want someone to be able to take him to the next level as well, and not just get drafted by a team because we don’t have that.

For now, Sanders has his Buffaloes at 7-2 ahead of their game against Utah on Saturday. They are firmly in the mix for the Big 12 championship and on track for a spot in the College Football Playoff after finishing 4-8 the year before.
