Megan Thee Stallion’s Silence In Nicki’s Latest Drama Is Golden

Last week, people online were in an uproar when Megan’s former best friend, Kelsey Harris – who spoke out against Megan during the Tory Lanez trial in 2021 – posted a promotional photo of NickyLØCI’s latest collaboration with the LØCI footwear line. They claimed that Kelsey was hooking up with the “Chun-Li” rapper even though they knew full well that she and Megan don’t get along to further fan the embers of their feud.

As Kelsey’s photos began to go viral, she responded to people online and their claims. But the situation became even more problematic when Nicki decided to take to X/Twitter earlier this week and explain that Kelsey’s photo shoot was in no way officially connected to her in a since-deleted tweet.

“My company nor my company knew anything about this until she posted…Kelsey definitely did everything possible with this professional looking scenario…but she is in no way professionally connected to my tennis,” she wrote as captured put Complex before blaming social media blogs for posting “contrived stories and narratives”.

While there is inherently nothing wrong with exposing lies, the one person who remained noticeably silent throughout this entire ordeal was Megan herself. When Kelsey’s photos dropped, Megan was silent. When Nicki returned to social media, Megan went silent and it got us thinking.

Thinking about what, you ask? Good reader, this whole situation made us think about the fact that sometimes silence really is the best option in some situations…especially when it comes to something that you know very well needs to be done. don’t be one thing. Sometimes not paying too much attention to it is the quickest way to ensure peace and to make sure the situation doesn’t have more staying power than it should.

This notion can also be seen in recent celebrity split between Halle Bailey and DDG. The latter shared the news of their breakup on Instagram in early October, but has since given a few interviews talking about their relationship and garnering negative headlines. Meanwhile, Halle hasn’t said a word and only recently took to X/Twitter to share that she was working on new music.

And why should she? Let the breakup be the breakup, let DDG say whatever he wants until he’s out of the news cycle and then move on in peace. There really is no point in continuing to feed something that you know will only bring more chaos when the alternative is to easily starve it until it no longer has a chance to exist.
