Pete Wicks left many Strictly Come Dancing viewers stunned after showing off a jaw-dropping new hairstyle.

The 35-year-old former Towie star is competing in the current season of the long-running BBC series alongside Jowita Przystał.

Last week, the duo impressed with a lively samba set to the theme song from 1997 comedy George of the Jungle during the show’s popular Movie Week.

This week they were tasked with taking a quick step.

But before they even hit the dance floor, Pete’s appearance left many shocked.

Instead, her hair was styled into a pompadour, which many viewers couldn’t help but comment on.

‘PETE’S HAIR?!’ Emily exclaimed when posting to X.

‘Pete nailed it. Mesmerized by the hair,” Fiona shared.

‘Pete Wicks straight from Grease!’ Karen added.

Pete’s new look was later shown when he performed, wearing a 50s-style outfit for his performance, which was set in a tattoo parlor while The Jam’s song Town Called Malice was played.

Their routine also ended with a hilarious nod to Craig Revel Horwood, with Pete lifting his shirt to show a fake tattoo of Craig’s face holding a 10-rated paddle.

The response to the dance was also very different to the first week, with Pete and Jowita getting a score of 29 from the judges.

Craig gave him a rare compliment, telling him “well done”, while Motsi Mabuse said he “really liked that John Travolta vibe”.

Meanwhile, head judge Shirley Ballas said: ‘His technical quality is starting to improve. I love the smoldering look between you two… you’re getting better every week.

Commenting after the show, Jowita wrote on Instagram: ‘Sooo proud of you!!!! My Danny Zuko.
