Council announces dates for 2025 International Ayr Show

South Ayrshire Council is pleased to confirm that The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight will return to the Ayr coast on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th September 2025.

This will be the third time the Council has organized this hugely popular festival, which drew record audiences in 2023 and again in September 2024.

The festival will be held at Ayr’s Low Green and will feature stunning and daring flying display programs on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. The event’s Festival Village will also return, packed with a fantastic range of family entertainment to suit all interests.

South Ayrshire Council’s Tourism, Culture and Rural Affairs portfolio holder, Councilor Alec Clark, said: “After another hugely successful festival this year, it is wonderful to be able to confirm the dates for the 2025 airshow. Once again, the September event attracted over 250,000 people across the two day festival, and we are delighted to have received extremely positive feedback. positive about the improvements we made in the previous year and the event as a whole. So, my message is: prepare for the next one and save the date!”

South Ayrshire Council’s Sport and Leisure portfolio holder, Councilor Brian Connolly, said: “In September we witnessed another exceptional air show, so I’m delighted that we have now confirmed the 2025 dates. Each Festival of Flight involves a lot of planning and organisation, with a tremendous amount of effort on the part of our management and partners to ensure we can deliver an event first class. And with preparations already underway, I’m sure we’ll have another spectacular show next September.”

Leader of South Ayrshire Council, Councilor Martin Dowey, said: “Our 2024 International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight attracted huge crowds for the second year running. Fortunately, the weather was on our side again and people were able to enjoy spectacular aerial displays, great entertainment and activities, plus great food and drink, all in the glorious South Ayrshire sunshine. The success of this September’s festival encouraged us to hold another exceptional event in 2025.”
