Killington Announces New Investment in Snow Guns

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Killington is announcing a massive investment in new energy-efficient snow guns, totaling 1,000 new pieces of equipment over the next two seasons.

The move more than doubles the number of fixed-turret snow guns between the main peak and the Pico.

The additions represent a $7 million investment, but will save electricity, fuel and labor, and reduce carbon emissions by more than 5 million pounds per year.
