Chris Kaba knew the police were after him before he shot – friend

After Kaba missed her call, she said he called her back almost two hours later and that they “were having a normal conversation and discussing our lives.”

She said that at some point during the conversation, he said he thought the police were following him.

“I kept talking to Chris. Chris didn’t respond and it was at that moment I realized the call had been silenced on Chris’s end.

“I didn’t hang up right away. I kept asking ‘can you hear me?’ and ‘unmute me’.”

She said the call ended and she redialed “within seconds” to see if he would answer, adding: “He didn’t answer. I assumed Chris would call me back within 10 minutes, but he didn’t.

“I found out the next morning that Chris had passed away. I was and still am very shocked and saddened by Chris’ death.”
