Coronation Street video confirms Joel’s cause of death and it’s brutal | Soaps

With evil Joel Deering (Calum Lill) being murdered, the hunt for his killer begins in Coronation Street next week.

And, as our spoiler video reveals, the police make their first big discovery when it is confirmed how the attacker met his end.

In this scene from Wednesday’s episode, DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) – who was taken off the case – manages to extract from Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) that Joel’s post-mortem results are back.

While she needs to get details out of him, he then reveals that Joel died from two blows to the head, inflicted by a heavy weapon.

He claims the weapon was probably a crowbar, used to break into his apartment.

Later in the episode, Lisa gets a clue when she finds out from Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) that she kicked out Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) because she discovered he had a crowbar.

She later warns her daughter Besty Swain (Sydney Martin) to stay away from Mason, but warns her friend that the police are after him.

Behind the factory, Mason discards the crowbar in a trash can, but is caught in the act by Kit…

Could Mason really have killed Joel?

Actor Jacob Roberts, who plays Kit, recently revealed: “Kit’s priority is finding out who killed Joel. “He knows someone is lying, everyone is acting evasively on the streets and there are some potential culprits.

‘Lisa, who is now off the case, gets it into Kit’s head that Mason could be the suspect because he had a crowbar, which makes Kit’s eyes light up.

‘When he visits Mason, he finds him with a crowbar and Kit takes him in for questioning, but I think that’s just the beginning…’

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday 16th October at 8pm on ITV1 and from 7am on ITVX.
