Vijay Deverakonda jokes he was ‘caught’ by forest guards while running through Kerala’s picturesque tea plantations

Vijay Deverakonda took to Instagram to post videos from his latest trip to Kerala. Given the outdoor scenery, the actor decided to make the most of it and run through the tea plantations there, only to be “caught” by some forest officials for an adorable reason. Vijay’s trip to Kerala

Vijay has posted several videos of himself running through the hills of Munnar. A video shows him running down a steep slope between a hill and a valley. Another shows him running through some tea plantations, and another shows him enjoying the view from above when he finishes his run. A video, however, shows him paying attention to forestry agents who recognized him from his selfies.

Sharing them, he wrote: “1 and 2 – Run with me through the tea plantations of Kerala, India. 3 – Being caught by forest police officers to take photos. 4 – Take a break, breathe, enjoy the moment. 5 – The Route. 6 – The idea was to keep the heart rate in zone 2 – between 140-150. But lots of climbs meant the zone went mostly to 3/4 and 5.”

Several fans in the comments section acknowledged that Vijay was in Munnar. Others commented with heart emojis, asking for caution. A fan even commented in Malayalam, asking him to go to his hometown to explore.

Upcoming works

After 2022’s Liger, Vijay starred in 2023’s Kushi and 2024’s The Family Star. He also made a cameo appearance as Arjuna in Kalki 2898 AD, which saw Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in lead roles.

He is now filming for the yet-untitled VD 12. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film shows him in a new avatar. Videos and photos of the actor’s look were leaked online when he was filming outdoors earlier this year. The film will be released next year. He will also star in Ravi Kiran Kola and Rahul Sankrityan’s VD 13 and VD 14.
