Kwara Gov announces death of Aviation College President, Captain Yusuf-Gobir

…It’s a personal loss, says AbdulRazaq

The Kwara State government has announced the death of the Chairman of Ilorin Aviation College and Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate, Captain Muhammad Ahmad.

The New Telegraph gathered that Captain Ahmad died on Saturday morning, aged 62.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Rafiu Ajakaye, said: “We submit to the dictate of Allah, who gives, nourishes and takes away life, and send our deepest condolences to the people of Ilorin Emirate and especially to family of the revered title holder in this devastating development.

“Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq considers the death of the president of the Aviation College, who was his childhood friend, a personal loss.

“He lauds his outstanding legacy as a distinguished technocrat and administrator who oversaw an impressive turnaround of the College of Aviation in a very short space of time.

“The Governor asks Allah to admit him to al-jannah Firdaus and support his family in goodness.”
