Updates on injuries, team chemistry and highlights

After three games in four nights, the Thunder took the day off on Friday before returning to the court on Saturday. Oklahoma City won’t be back in action until Tuesday, when it travels to Denver to face the Nuggets, before wrapping up its exhibition schedule on Thursday in Bricktown, hosting the Atlanta Hawks.

Saturday’s practice was described as “Game conditioning is a big part of it. We play a lot in training, including today. Today was a pretty tiring physical day, but it was all about basketball – managing our work on offense and defense,” said Oklahoma City bench boss Mark Daigneault.

The Thunder boss also offered an injury update regarding rookie Ajay Mitchell. who actively participated in Thursday’s pre-season clash with the New Zealand Breakers in Tulsa due to a minor ankle sprain.

Speaking of which, during media preview practice, Jaylin Williams, who has been sidelined all preseason with a hamstring injury, was seen doing some light work after triple shooting and running practice with Thunder assistants.

Defensive ace Lu Dort spoke to the media after practice, where he praised rookie Dillon Jones “He’s aggressive. He’s very good. He’s showing he can do more. He can play a lot of positions. We want him to keep his confidence he has now.”
