Shopping center evacuated due to rooftop incident

A shopping center was evacuated after a rooftop incident.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 2.50pm BST it had sent two crews to the Westgate center in Oxford.

Thames Valley Police said the incident involved a fire and their officers were not needed.

At 4:15 p.m., firefighters said unaffected parts of the center were reopening.

It previously said the emergency had caused “considerable delays in the surrounding area”.
