The Cleveland Browns looked like a competent team at times on Sunday, but the results didn’t change as the AFC North team failed to surpass 20 points or 250 total yards of offense in the team’s 20-16 loss today.

Part of the problem was a stagnant attack that only started to move the football in the second half.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson finished the game 16 of 23 for 168 yards, but the Browns did not score an offensive touchdown against the Eagles.

After the game, Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot shared coach Kevin Stefanski’s decision on Watson by announcing that the quarterback will once again be under center when the team returns home to face the Cincinnati Bengals next week.

Stefanski said he will stick with Deshaun Watson after the loss to Eagles,” Cabot said at the team’s press conference after the loss.

Watson wasn’t the only one to blame for the loss, as the veteran quarterback played better than he did in his previous outing against the Washington Commanders, a game in which he finished with a QBR rating in single digital territory for the second time this season.

Once again, the season’s recurring theme of porous offensive line play persisted when the Browns’ only red zone drive of the game failed after rookie guard Zak Zinter was penalized for a false start, pushing the team back a third and – goal situation from the Philadelphia 3-yard line to the 8-yard line.

Cleveland couldn’t get any closer, settling for a field goal with 3:54 left in the game, the last time the Browns would have the offensive football in this contest.
