Chandrababu Naidu announces Ratan Tata innovation center in Amaravati

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced that the capital Amaravati will soon have a Ratan Tata Innovation Center.

The Chief Minister said that the innovation center to be established in Amaravati will be named after recently deceased industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata.

Naidu said that the innovation center will certainly greatly advance the industrial sector in the state.

Ratan Tata, who led the Tata Group for over two decades and is credited with turning it into a world-renowned conglomerate, died at the age of 86 at the city’s Breach Candy Hospital last week.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the policies being adopted for industrial development, MSME and food processing and made it clear that employment generation is the top priority of his government.

Naidu said that industrial policies should be in line with this and should pave the way for speed in doing business, attracting investments.

He felt that more policy exercise on private industrial parks was needed and decided to present the other three policies to the Council of Ministers at its next meeting. As the officials submitted the policies formulated on these matters to the Chief Minister, Naidu conducted an in-depth study on them and also shared his views and experiences with the officials.
