Mammogram screenings will be offered in Ash on November 2

ASH, NC (WECT) – Novant Health and the Roosevelt and Ruth Marlow Educational and Recreational Foundation announced that mobile mammography screening will be provided at a charity walk on Saturday, November 2nd.

It will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Roosevelt and Ruth Marlow Memorial Park, located at 5200 Essie Lane NW in Ash.

Anyone wanting a mammogram at the location should call 910-712-1485.

“Screening mammograms are generally covered as preventive care by most insurance plans. For your convenience, Novant Health will file a claim with your insurance company on your behalf. If individuals have had previous mammograms outside of the Novant Health network, the healthcare team will contact the previous facility to obtain these images for comparison purposes. Participants must provide this information at the time of their nomination. Early detection is the best defense against cancer,” the ad states
