In June, Raveena Tandon and her driver were attacked by a mob in Mumbai amid allegations of rash driving. In a recent interview with NewsX Live, Raveena shared that the Mumbai Police indicated that the attack was pre-planned. She also mentioned that her friend, actress Richa Chadha, went through a similar incident the next day. Raveena expressed concern over these intimidation tactics and said that Richa had to resolve the matter as there were no CCTV cameras to capture the truth.

Raveena said, “Unfortunately, this is happening in Mumbai, which is something planned. Jo ki darane ki baat hai (bully). Jab ye mob ka incident hua (When this mob incident happened), actually the next day my friend Richa Chadha called me. She said, ‘Raveena, you won’t believe it, the same thing happened!’ The same thing happened to Richa and unfortunately, there are no CCTV cameras to record the truth. In fact, she had to pay. She had to resolve the matter. The officers told her that would solve the problem. She, in fact, the poor thing, went ahead and settled down.”

Raveena Tandon said police believe her incident with the mafia was planned to get money. She described how the mob tried to break into her home while her children were inside and her husband was outside. Raveena and her team blocked the gate to stop them, insisting that the police should take care of it.

“I remember, the crowd was very aggressive. They were coming into my house. My kids were upstairs at home. My husband was not at home. Jo mere male team members dikh rahe the unko, wo kheech ke maar rahe the unko. Indeed, gate pe main khadi ho gayi aur meri jo do household staff ki members hain, jo saalo se hain mere sath, hum gate par khade ho gaye what no one will enter the house. Aur wo dhakka de de ke bol rahe o aap bas driver ko bahar bhej dijiye. Toh maine kaha uski galti hai toh police ko aa jane dijiye, fir aap le jaye usko. (They were beating male members of my team. Me and two women from my team stood at the gate so that no one could enter the house. They kept pushing and demanding that we hand over the driver. I said if the driver is to blame, let the police come and take it). Who are you to do justice? Who are you to lynch him? Aap kyu maara peeti karna chahte ho? Without crashing! Please don’t hit anyone. But ek jo mob frenzy ho jati hai na jab sab sath mein ho jate hain (It was like a crowd frenzy, when everyone came together),” Raveena added.

In June, a viral video captured a group of residents accusing Raveena Tandon and her driver of assaulting three women. When Raveena got out of her vehicle to speak to the crowd, she was allegedly pushed and assaulted. In the video, she can be heard saying, “Please don’t hit me,” while a man alleged that his driver had hit his mother and accused Raveena of being drunk and starting the fight. The incident took place on Carter Road in Bandra, Mumbai.
